Self-directed learning won’t happen overnight especially with learners who have been so used to getting told what to do in traditional classrooms. The practical key to instilling in them independent learning and self-accountability is with the Coach or Mentor who cares enough to personalise every student’s Individual Learning Plan and communicate effectively at their level.
